Zero is the secondary main character of the MegaMan X series, and one of the two main playable characters in MegaMan X: Corrupted alongside X.
Description
Zero uses the Z-Saber to execute powerful close-range attacks, and gains new special moves from each defeated boss. He can perform a variety of special moves using two attack buttons: Slash and Special.
Abilities
In Corrupted, he gains these new features:
- Core Techniques - Zero can perform an uppercut, a thrust attack, and a downward stab from the start of the game without needing to defeat any bosses.
- Saber Combos - As long as Zero has saber energy, he can chain any technique together simply by performing the input for the move while another move is active. As more techniques are acquired, more combinations become available.
- Armor Mastery - After acquiring upgrades such as Black Zero, Zero can unlock additional abilities by defeating high-level enemies.
- Skill Upgrades - Experience collected from defeating enemies and bosses can be used to unlock upgrades for the Z-Saber, new skills, and other body enhancements. Each technique acquired from bosses can be upgraded as well.
Z-Saber
The Z-Saber is Zero's primary weapon, whose attacks deal damage multiple times when hitting enemies, rather than all at once. His special moves require energy from his saber meter, which refills on its own and through attacking enemies. Along with his standard 3-hit ground combo, Zero starts with three special moves.
