MegaMan X: Corrupted features X and Zero as the primary playable characters, as well as both fresh and familiar NPCs assisting in gameplay.
Playable Characters
X and Zero are playable from the start, and each have their own story depending on who is selected when starting a new game. After certain events, X and Zero can be switched between freely in the main game. Synthia and Axl are unlockable "non-canon" playable characters, with Synthia and Axl currently having no planned "story" to go with them.
The Maverick Hunters
The Maverick Hunters provide various support functions for X and Zero during the game, and can be spoken to when visiting the Hunter Base.
