The Shadow Armor is an unlockable armor available after completing the game at least once. It is based on an armor set appearing in MegaMan X6. In contrast to the Blade Armor, it is built around evasion and non-confrontation.

Abilities

Head Part

• Template:AbilityboxAllows X to have twice as many projectiles onscreen at once compared to normal. In the case of Force Breaker, it can be fired more quickly.

Body Part

• Template:AbilityboxWhen X takes damage, he remains invincible for twice as long as usual.

Arms Part

• Template:AbilityboxCompletely removes the X-Buster's charging ability, replacing it with rapid-firing star-shaped shots. These weapons have a minor spread and can ricochet off of walls.

Legs Part

• Template:AbilityboxAllows X to perform a high jump with Up + Jump that goes straight up and can stick to ceilings. He can also stick to ceilings using V-Dash. While on the ceiling, X can aim weapons forward or straight downward.
• Template:AbilityboxAllows X to cling to walls without sliding, and dash upside-down on ceilings.

Full Set Bonus

• Template:AbilityboxGrants X the Beam Katana as a secondary weapon. This saber-type weapon is very fast and can be charged up to hit a large area.
• Template:AbilityboxTurns the armor a dark color as its original appearance.

Max Armor

• Template:AbilityboxGrants to X the Ray Splasher from MegaMan X3. X fires rays of neon light forward of him. When charged, X shoots an orb above him that shoots neon of light in multiple directions.
