As in the official games, Zero acquires new techniques by defeating one of the main 8 bosses. Unlike X's Weapons these techniques do not consume ammunition, instead requiring special inputs from the user akin to a fighting game. These "special techniques" can be further enhanced via spending points on the requisite section of their independent skill trees. Techniques requiring the saber generally use the primary attack button, whereas those not requiring the saber are generally on secondary attack. As Zero is a massive weeb, his technique names are in Japanese.

Techniques' Descriptions

Bakuenkou

Bakuenkou (爆炎攻 in Japanese, translated as Explosive Assault) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Warfare Milodon. It is a charged slash, similar to the one from the MegaMan Zero series. In addition to its larger hitbox, it leaves behind a series of explosions which deal damage as well.
Raikoushi

Raikoushi (雷光螫 in Japanese, translated as Lightning Sting) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Sparking Scorpio. Zero pauses mid-air and throws an electric chain forward that can grab onto surfaces and pull Zero to them. If the chain connects with an enemy, it causes the enemy to be stunned for a short time and allow Zero to pass through unharmed, and pulls Zero forward to follow up with more attacks. The momentum of being pulled forward can be transferred to other aerial attacks with proper timing.
Choujin

Choujin (跳刃 in Japanese, lit. Bounce Blade) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Plasma Puffer. While dashing, Zero launches a spinning projectile bubble that can ricochet off of enemies or surfaces. As Zero's only ranged attack, this move is especially useful for small enemies when his usual high damage output is not needed. This weapon is being renamed, as it is no longer saber-based, but instead thrown from his hand.
Suishouzan

Suishouzan (水晶斬 in Japanese, translated as Crystal Slash) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Crystal Rafflar. After Zero's standard 3-hit combo, he can perform an additional slash which produces a row of crystals in front of him. The crystals persist for a short time and can reflect energy weapons, absorb a small amount of explosive damage, and cause damage to enemies. These can be used both defensively and to increase the damage of Zero's combo.
Ryokuhaken

Ryokuhaken (力破拳 in Japanese, translated as Power Breaking Fist or Force Breaker) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Force Starfish. Zero pauses mid-air and raises up his fist, gathering energy, and then drops at a high speed surrounded by a high power field that can damage enemies as he falls. When he hits the ground, the the energy explodes outward in a small area, dealing high damage. Unlike other attacks, all parts of this skill are capable of damaging armored enemies and crystal structures.
Jikuugeki

Jikuugeki (時空撃 in Japanese, translated as Warp Strike or Time-Space Strike) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Warp Vulpex. Performing this technique causes Zero to enter an evasive stance for a short time, which has no effect unless Zero is hit by an attack. When that happens, Zero vanishes and reappears behind the enemy and strikes them with a saber attack. Zero remains invincible for the entire duration of the attack if successful, but becomes vulnerable if the attack is not triggered by an enemy.
Shippuuzan

Shippuuzan (疾風斬 in Japanese, translated as Hurricane Scythe) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Hurricane Hoatzin. Zero quickly performs a spinning air slash that allows him to stay airborne for longer. This attack can connect from, and into, any other airborne attack, allowing for easy combos.
Genkoushuu

Genkoushuu (幻降蹴 in Japanese, translated as Illusion Drop Kick) is one of Zero's techniques, received from defeating Neurohack Mosquito. Zero halts his air momentum and performs a diagonal downward kick that is followed by damaging afterimages. When this attack strikes an enemy, Zero bounces back up slightly and allows him to jump again (when double-jump is unlocked).
