These mechaniloids are highly territorial, and will often resolve disputes by kicking each other to death. I made that up just now on the basis that the first one of these things you see kicks another and gives you free EXP for it.
Regardless, these things are best left alone unless you want to get kicked in the face, or can lure one into another enemy. Ironically, the horn appears to be purely decorative- the original, functional horn encouraged this endangered species to be poached, so environmentalists came up with the idea to replace them with these 3d printed replacements that crumple easily. Regardless, it can and will still kill you given the slightest provocation.
