These decidedly unfriendly Mechaniloids were being built in a strange lab. Their true purpose is unknown, but their ID signal pattern seems oddly familiar, almost as though it were a mix of existing patterns.
Further into the game, Wave mentions that he may be able to upgrade the player character's aerial movement if some parts are salvaged from these monstrosities.
