Warfare Milodon is a boss appearing in MegaMan X: Corrupted, and one of the game's eight main bosses.

Prior to the start of the game, Milodon was a member of a Reploid military force. Having fought for humanity's sake countless times over the course of 21XX, Milodon grew disgusted with humanity's treatment of Reploids and eventually lead his troops in a small uprising. The uprising was quelled by the Maverick Hunters, leaving Milodon as the only surviving member of his unit.

On difficulty classes below Sigma, he was captured and awaits trial on the Hunter's Airship in X's opening stage. On Sigma Class, he has already managed to escape to the island on which the game takes place, mostly out of convenience to explain why is Final Four effect is already active. Regardless, he can be found in the island's Weapons Factory reactivating production lines and distributing weapons.

Attacks and Strategy

Milodon fights by launching explosive missiles and mines at the player, and attempting to ram into them with his large body. When enough damage has been caused to the main arena, the ground breaks open to the refining area below where the player has to avoid the molten floor as well.

Trivia

  • Warfare Milodon is based on the extinct Mylodon.
  • As seen above, the species name is actually spelled Mylodon. When the team found this out, there was a minor debate as to if he should be renamed, but it was decided the mistranslation felt appropriate for something emulating the MegaMan X series.

Final Four Effect

If Milodon is one of the last four of the main eight bosses remaining, reinforcement-type enemies across the map will receive weapons upgrades and a black paint color. Milodon gains these upgrades (and the color change) as well. A list of reinforcement type enemies is as follows:
