Viral Zero is an upgrade Zero can acquire during the events of MegaMan X: Corrupted. This upgrade has an altered body armor, covering up his chest lights and making his helmet and body more angular, and adding a face-mask. His armor color turns purple, and his saber gains a darker tinge.

As little has been revealed about the story, it is not yet known how this armor is unlocked.

Abilities

Base Infection Abilities

[[File:|16x16px]] Wild Slash - Greatly increases the speed of ground saber attacks.
[[File:|16x16px]] Viral Shield - Excess virus energy absorbed creates a temporary shield.
[[File:|16x16px]] Jumper - Increases ground jump height.
[[File:|16x16px]] Overflow - Using Overdrive overfills the saber gauge, granting temporary ranged attacks.

Infection Unlocked Abilities

[[File:|16x16px]] Fortitude - Fortitude - Saber techniques are no longer interrupted by enemy attacks.
[[File:|16x16px]] Last Stand - Last Stand - Fatal attacks reduce HP to one point instead of dying.
[[File:|16x16px]] Genmu - Genmu - Powerful Giga Attack that unleashes a giant saber wave. (↓, →, Overdrive when meter is full.)
[[File:|16x16px]] Overclock - Overclock - Special moves inflict 40% more damage to enemies but cost more energy to perform.
